Project Description

Escola de Samba BATURIM comes from Vienna and is a classical samba school modeled after the samba schools in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The name BATURIM was created from the words Batucada and Tamborim – the instrument through which the Rio Samba gets its typical character.

Rio samba is a complex rhythm composed of many different elements and is also accompanied by samba dancers. Musical vocal elements supported by percussion & cavaquinho, complete the offer.

If our audience joins in, dances and sings along during the performances, we will have achieved our samba goal for the day.
